1. Make sure the printer is plugged in and turned on, otherwise, you won't be able to replace the cartridges.
2. Next, lower the paper output tray, open the door to access the ink cartridges, press down the one you want to replace, and remove it. Don't try to remove the cartridge until the printer carriage has moved to the center.
3. When you open the new ink cartridge, be careful not to touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Before inserting it into the printer, remove the protective plastic tape.
