Is it time to change the ink cartridges of your HP Deskjet 5940 printer? Follow the steps below, and you'll see how simple it is!

The first thing you need to do is turn on the printer, lower the paper output tray, and open the cartridge access door.
When the printer carriage stops, gently press the cartridge you want to replace and remove it from its slot.
Finally, take the new cartridge out of its packaging, remove the protective plastic tape, and insert it into its corresponding slot by gently pushing it backward. Now, you can close the cartridge access door, and you're done. Wasn't that easy?
Make sure you have placed the cartridges in their corresponding slots; otherwise, the printer won't print. The black one goes into the slot on the right side, and the tricolor one goes into the slot on the left.
